ChatBac (Please Do)
Hello there readers,
welcome to my blog page, which you can see I have aptly titled Chatbac, this if its not obvious to you, is because I welcome all comments critique and opinions.
The theme to my blogs will mainly focus on profiling independant / little or unknown artistes.And by artistes I mean singers, producers and production teams. I feel that often times we over look the hours of hard work the producers and their teams (if they have one) put into the riddims behind some of the fantastic singles and albums we play religiously in our homes , cars or clubs.
Therefore, based mainly on my admiration for the long hours and sleepless nites these talented men and women ( yea we produce chune too !!) put in they too should get the recognition, we give to the singers who eventually carry the hits to our listening ears.
With the world wide web , audiences have become larger , and an individuals fan base can take in fans of both genders, all races and ages. However,because the forum for profiling one’s talent is now so vast , there is undoubtly more competition for all artistes in all genre’s and all departments of the music industry.
Upcoming artistes have to work three times as hard now than ten years ago, if they want to be noticed , or more importantly if they want to break into the league of the major labels. And unfortunately , in this day and age, I suppose because of the competition talent alone doesn’t always ensure one of breaking through. Money and links also have a part to play, on how one markets one self or indeed one is marketed.
So I hope my little input on behalf of some of the , so far smaller , prehaps even unknown artistes I come into contact with helps a little .For if even one of you who reads a blog and retains the information, enough to attend a show, or dance or buy a single of anyone of the artistes I profile ,we collectively would have helped the cause just a little .And that is more than enough to satisfy me.
